How Much CBD Should I Take the First Time?

The discussion around dosing is a controversial one, and as with any supplement, there is no ‘one size fits all’ answer to this question.

The chemical elements in the Organic Premium CBD Oil 1500MG that provide the positive effects that are felt by those who consume the product are dependent on many factors, including :

Height and Weight (mass)

  • Age
  • Sensitivity to cannabis
  • Metabolism

So how do I know the dose that is suitable for me?

As these factors are generally unique to each person, the system for finding the correct dosage for you to feel the maximum effect is a system of titration. This word means that you take small amounts and increase as you need to until you feel the optimum impact.

Sometimes the tricky part is calculating the exact amount of CBD per milliliter of oil hemp extract. After all, some tinctures have concentrations of 1,500 mg per 30 mL, while others will have 3,000 mg per mL (or more).

How to Calculate the CBD Dose

To determine the exact dose, remember that each drop equals 0.05 mL. This means that a 30-mL bottle of CBD oil will have roughly 600 drops. If the concentration of the tincture is 1,500 mg per mL, one drop would equal 2.5 mg (1,500 mg ÷ 600 drops = 2.5 mg).

The Cannabis Trade Association recommends a maximum daily dosage of 70mg, so we recommend you stick to less than that that as a starting point. After that:

  • If you feel satisfied, stick to that or reduce by 20mg a day.
  • If you don’t feel satisfied, increase dosage but dont go over 70mg in one day

Keep an eye on how you feel. It is helpful to keep a journal so that you can track the effects that the dosage is having on you, and you should review every week until you feel satisfied with your dosage.

Don’t be afraid to move to a higher dose as you can always reduce back again.  To use CBD oil, place one or more drops under the tongue and let it sit there for 30 to 60 seconds without swallowing.

The oil is absorbed sublingually (by all the blood vessels under the tongue) for maximum uptake. Capsules and gummies are more natural to dose, although they tend to be more costly. CBD sublingual sprays are used mainly for convenience.
